About us
Rob Peterson, the owner of Peterson Flooring and Remodeling, has been working in the construction field for just around 30 years. He began his construction career in 1988 as a salesman for United Builders Supply, while also attending Mitchell College, in New London, studying Business Administration. In 1990, Rob left to attend Berklee College of Music, in Boston, where he studied musical performance and business administration. After Berklee, Rob began his apprenticeship in the flooring and construction industry. In 1996, Rob opened his own business, and has been managing and running his own jobs since then.
In 2005 Rob met his wife Jen while working in Mystic. They have been inseparable ever since. Jen has work many years along side and in the background with Rob, now solely focusing on Design. Jen has been designing remodels since 2015, with her keen eye for color and texture.
Rob and Jen reside in North Stonington, and have one daughter together, who they both see as their pride and joy. Family is the most important thing in their world, and Rob will be the first to tell you, that includes their "Fur babies". The Peterson's have 3 small dogs, a Corgi, who's in charge, a Shih-poo who is very much the mischievous "middle child", and the most recent of the pack, an adopted Chihuahua mix who is absolutely in love with Rob. When Rob is not working, he enjoys relaxing, playing music, and having fun with his incredible sense of humor.
